House system: The House System has a special relevance at ST. GEORGIA GIRLS' SCHOOL.
The school is divided into four houses - Knowledge, Wisdom, Intelligence and Confidence. It is a structured community within which girls develop the feelings of loyalty, responsibility of living in a family and leadership. The houses compete in a wide variety of fields like dance, music, debates, quiz, dramatics, sports etc. In fact, these activities test girls and encourage them to hone their hidden talent.
Sports:
The development of mind and body go hand-in-hand. In short, physical education plays a vital role in creating confident individuals. Therefore, sports is an integral part of our education system.
Girls begin their day with morning exercise that includes yoga. This channelizes energy in a positive way. They also participate in their favorite sport activity, which includes taekwondo training or organized games. To make them good at their respective sports, we have engaged expert coaches and trainers who impart valuable tips to girls to hone their skills.
A football ground, athletic track, basketball court, indoor badminton courts, table-tennis tables in a separate hall, a room for yoga and an archery range reflect our seriousness towards sports.
There is provision for roller skating too. Girls are encouraged to participate in inter-house and inter-school tournaments.
Treks and tours:
Educational tours of historical or geographical nature are conducted at the National level. These trips impart knowledge of languages, an appreciation of other cultures, customs & traditions and flora & fauna.
School transport is available for educational and weekend outings. Each transport is equipped with first-aid kit and all possible safety measures are taken.
